By following this straightforward recipe for ground beef, you can have it ready to serve in only ten minutes.

Instructions

  • A large skillet should be used to combine the meat, water, mustard, and sugar. The mixture should then be stirred. After the beef has reached the desired level of doneness, which should take approximately five minutes, continue to boil it over medium heat while using a spoon to break up any clumps of meat that may have formed.
  • Although draining the fat is not required, you are free to do so if you make the decision to do so. If you do not drain the fat, you will be more faithful to the recipe that was originally created. I do not drain the fat. First, incorporate the onion into the mixture, and then season it to taste with salt and pepper (I like to use one teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of pepper).
  • When serving the meat, buns should be used, and toppings such ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and pickles should be served on the side. Buns should be used to serve the meat.

Notes

Beef ground up:- For the best taste, I like ground beef that is 85% lean and 15% fat.

Those onions:- You can use white onions, yellow onions, or even shallots. Like in a real Maid-Rite burger, I put them in after the meat is cooked, so they’re still a little raw in the beef. Brown them in the pan before the beef if you’d rather have them a little softer and less flavorful.

Buns for hamburgers:- When it’s toasted, buttered, and ready to go, I love a good soft burger bun. But these soft dinner rolls are a little bit smaller and can be used for a buffet or a picnic.

What is the yield? With this Maid-Rite recipe, you can make 4 deliciously sloppy sandwiches.
Storage:- Cover leftovers and put them in the fridge for up to four days.

Get ready:- You can prepare the meat up to three days ahead of time and then store it in the fridge in a container that won’t let air in. Put it back on the stove or in the microwave until it’s warm, then put it in hamburger buns.

Ice chest:- Divide the raw meat into single-serving or family-sized portions that can be frozen in zip-top bags or containers that are safe to use after being opened. Let it thaw in the fridge overnight, then heat it up on the stove or in the microwave.

The slow cooker:- If you want to make Loose Meat Sandwiches in a slow cooker, brown the ground beef first and then put it in the slow cooker. Put everything else in the slow cooker except the buns. Put the lid on top and set the temperature to LOW. Put in buns.

Extra seasonings:- Some cooks say that adding a dash or two of soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce makes the food taste better.

Step up your Maid-Rite:- What you put on a burger will also taste great on a Loose Meat Sandwich. Slices of dill pickles, red onion, tomato, bbq sauce, mayonnaise, ketchup, or mustard are some things you could try.
